CBS, Liberal Lies continue
In its quest to damage President George W. Bush, the liberal media has taken another biased poll to show the president's approval ratings dropping in the wake of the Ports issue.
According to NEWSBUSTERS.org, the poll was taken among one-third more democrats than republicans.
CBS Slants Bush Poll in Favor of Democrats
Posted by Greg Sheffield on February 28, 2006 - 08:57.
In its classic "fair and balanced" tradition, CBS slanted in favor of Democrats its poll that found Bush has a 34 percent approval rating and a 59 percent disapproval rating, an all-time high for a CBS poll.
On the bottom of the PDF version of the poll (page 18) it says how many Democrats versus Republicans were contacted.
"Total Republicans" contacted: 272 unweighted and 289 weighted.
"Total Democrats" contacted: 409 unweighted and 381 weighted.
"Total Independents" contacted: 337 unweighted and 348 weighted.
Brent Baker also noted how CBS failed to highlight a key portion of its poll on the Feb. 27 "CBS Evening News." 66 percent of respondents thought the media devoted "too much time" to Cheney's hunting accident.
Strategery
A new book by Bill Sammon, shows CBS unwittingly helped hand the 2004 election to Bush with a blatant smear attempt, using fraudulent information about Bush's military career that backfired on the Kerry campaign. Liberals have been filled with hatred and revenge ever since Gore lost in the 2000 presidential race, and continue to jump at whatever strings their media pulls for the DNC.“It looks like somebody conspired to float false documents,” the president tells author Bill Sammon. “And I was amazed about it. I just couldn’t believe that would be happening [and] then it would become the basis of a fairly substantial series of news stories.”
“Then there was a backlash to it. I mean, a lot of people were angry that this could have happened. A lot of Americans are fair people and they viewed this as patently unfair. So in a funny way, I guess it inured to our benefit, when it was all said and done.”
The episode, known as “Memogate,” insulated Bush against further biased scrutiny of his National Guard record for the duration of the presidential campaign.
“It also, frankly, gave us an opportunity, frequently, when things came out in the media that we didn’t believe or didn’t like, to say, ‘It’s another CBS story,’” said Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, who was the president’s campaign manager. “I mean, it gave us a serious response to bad news.”
Although Memogate was initially expected to harm the president, it ended up backfiring spectacularly on the press.
“The guy that it hurt most was Dan Rather and the executives at CBS,” White House strategist Karl Rove said in an interview for STRATEGERY. “It further disgraced a network which is third in ratings and, if you look at the demographics of their consumers, it’s like 70 percent Democrat.”
One of the funniest things I continue to see, is leftist losers still denying the media isn't liberally biased, even as they rail against the only non-liberal network FOX, with false claims of conservative bias.
So the bias in the LSM (Liberal Slanted Media) continues to the next round of campaigns which for them started with John (Vietnam) Kerry's loss in 2004, and their subsequent hangover.
Who could forget how terrible the carpet-bagging Senator from New York, Hillary Clinton looked then? Well folks, that's the real Hill, an ugly old miserable bitch who is so filled with hatred and anger, she makes Mr. Scream, Howie Dean almost seem rational. The question on everyone's mind in Hollywood is when she will go under the knife for her facelift makeover? Perhaps she should consult Eleanor Cliff of the heavily biased McLaughlin Group on appealing to the hateful left.
Hillary is one emotionally messed up liberal, as are all those in her flock who put their feelings ahead of logic, which by the way also leaves them open for any issue where emotions can be preyed-on to sway them one way or another.
The libs are like little puppets who don't think with their heads. Liberals live on conspiracy theories and irrational behavior and love to rush out screaming like raving lunatics at whatever news is given them, especially if it concerns the environment, where they've been led to believe is so bad that people are dying from just breathing the air. Hysteria is what liberals are best as their record over the last several elections proves beyond doubt. Yet they haven't acknowledged their problems, continuing instead to follow hate-filled groups suchs as MoveOn.org, Daily KOS, Michael Moore, Al Freakhead, Howie Dean, Dick Durbin, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Babs Streisand, Meathead etc., ad nauseam.
Hillary's deceptive attempts at moving to the center are not working real well, but she still has plenty of time and will obviously be the main contender for the left in 2008 despite her vote for the war in Iraq, which she says she would've voted against in hindsight, no matter the success of disposing Saddam Hussein and freeing millions of Iraqi citizens.

Ports Predicament
Today the liberal left is trying to project a pro-defense attack on president Bush by bashing him on the security of America's shipping port. Are they simply creating mass hysteria once again with their puppets in the liberal media? Or do they really care about being hit again? After all, the left has been screaming for Bush (ala Cindy Sheehan) to throw the towel in on the war in Iraq and bring our troops home, without telling the American people the disastrous effect it would have on homeland security.
Suddenly the left has turned 180º and is demanding we protect our borders from the rest of the world's population, especially Arabs. Are Democrat's proving themselves isolationists'? Should we build a wall around the county to keep foreign elements out? Of course not, but that seems to be the slide some republicans are getting on with Democrat's who are giddy about finally finding some traction on a security issue against Bush, that has also struck a chord with some Republican's in congress, although it may come at a cost larger than anyone yet realizes, depending on the outcome. See my post below for my first take on the ports deal, which is usually on the money. However, with this issue being somewhat more complex than first believed, I am waiting to see how this plays out on the world stage, as there is quite alot being thrown into the air, which includes conservative radio hosts being split on the issue. Surely an exciting development for liberals to savor.
For now, I'll defer to someone who's opinion I think is close to the realities of the situation.
Mr. Charles Kruthammer sums up the ports dispute. I recommend reading the whole article... A Dubai Finesse
"This contract should have been stopped at an earlier stage, but at this point doing so would cause too much damage to our relations with moderate Arab states. There are no very good options. The best exit strategy is this: (1) Allow the contract to go through; (2) give it heightened scrutiny by assigning a team of U.S. government agents to work inside the company at least for the first few years to make sure security is tight and information closely held; (3) have the team report every six months to both the executive and a select congressional committee."
But somwhere there is some lack of forethought on this deal by the administration who tried to ram it through.
Homeland Security did not approve this deal. So the question is who initiated it and who put it through?
Someone's head should roll for this, but perhaps not the president's as says he found out about it like we all did, through the media if we are to believe that, which might lead me to suspect that this deal was hidden from the highest levels, and sprung at the last moment for maximum effect by a lower political enemy of the president.
Somehow in the end, I have a hunch that democrat finger prints will be found on this deal.

Port Shuffle in War time?
The incredible port debacle has the Bush administration on its heels and in a real bind from all sides.
Most American's cannot conceive of a company from the United Arab Emirate taking over six U.S. shipping ports due to their connections to 9/11. But that is exactly the idea coming from the White House during a time of war that was started by Arab terrorists.
However, the port deal is being handled as a move to show trust in the Arab world and president Bush feels it just wouldn't be fair to single out a supposed ally in the war on terror from any other. In other words he doesn't want to show disrespect to our 'friends.'
President Bush says the company Dubai Ports World has been screened well by the government. The New York Daily News reported that the UAE-owned company, has at least two ties to the White House.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a country roughly the size of Maine, located between Saudi Arabia and Oman. As the name implies, the UAE consists of several emirates or provinces.
This transaction has been vetted at the highest levels," former Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge told Fox News on Tuesday.
The U.A.E. will not "own" the ports, Ridge emphasized. Security for those state-owned ports will continue to be handled by the Coast Guard, Customs and Border Protection, and even the union laborers who work the docks. He also said security concerns exist regardless of who operates the ports.
Ridge also noted that Dubai was one of the first Middle Eastern ports that allowed the U.S. to place security agents at the port, complied with electronic manifest requirements, and agreed to the installation of X-ray equipment.
Asking for Terror?
But what does all the screening matter when it only takes one Arab trained by Al Qaeda to sneak in and plant something?
Al Qaeda used its banking system to finance the 9/11 attacks, press reports said, and two of the 9/11 hijackers came from the U.A.E.
What if the goal of the terrorists has been all along to take over our ports in order to sneak WMD's into the country? Once the containers get pulled off and put on a truck, they can be moved anywhere. Remember money talks and people can be bought, especially Arab muslims who may have a vendetta against us.
Then again, it would be obvious if an attack happened, who did it. But so what, it would be too late and the country could be in ruins.
All in all, this is not a good decision by the White House or the president to back it. The risk simply isn't worth the potential cost, so the administration better drop this one like a hot iron or we could all get burned.

Bush/Cheney vs Saddam/Liberal Media
To the utter dismay of democrats and their (ignored) liberal media cohorts, president Bush will stick with his veep, Mr. Richard Cheney who now has been granted new powers by executive order (see link below).
The media just can't stand being ignored on such a HUGE story as Cheney's shooting accident was. Or was it that big a story? It was the same kind of hunting accident that happens all over the country every year. The media being the arrogant liberals they are, just could not fathom that Cheney didn't rush to a phone to call the New York Times, the Washi Post, CNN etc. immediately after the incident, instead of helping his hurt friend get medical attention. The gall!
The media also hates it that Cheney snubbed CNN for an interview and so they're having hissy fits about the interview on FOX.
These liberals are so immature, hateful, vengeful and downright evil, that they were actually wanting Cheney's friend to die so they could have a field day on bashing him and the White House by association all the way to the November midterms in order for democrats to pick up some seats, perhaps even have Cheney arrested.
Fortunately for the country, the story is over now and the libs will only be making further jackasses of themselves by extending it.
Having no regard for values and possessing no moral clarity, liberals have dug a hole for the democrat's they can never escape from until the current dems in congress are gone.
The liberal bloggers are all out in force bashng the living crap out Cheney about it because they're all filled it pure hatred, even while denying it. They pass it off with jokes, but they are not covering up their true motives.
Evil certainly has a hold on the left as they fall deeper into the bottomless pit. And they certainly won't like this news either... "In addition to discussing his hunting accident, Vice President Dick Cheney, in his interview on the Fox News Channel Wednesday, also pointed to a little-known but enormously consequential expansion of vice-presidential power that has come about as a result of the Bush administration's war on terror."
The Left's Lying Liars
As with Saddam, useful idiot liberals share the same objective – the destruction of the Bush administration. That is where the "useful" part comes from. The "idiot" part comes from thinking that hurting Bush doesn't hurt America. But then liberals rarely seem to consider that factor anyway.
But as the truth comes out in Saddam's own words via tapes obtained by John Loftus, which are due to be released at the next Intelligence Summit meeting on Friday, the usefulness of the "Bush lied" lobby will have expired, although the idiots will continue to spin the truth with even worse lies.
Unfortunately for America, the damage will remain. The insurgent-terrorist caused U.S. losses have buoyed hopes that America will be forced to withdraw – because of the "useful idiot"-fed anger of the American people – and leave Saddam to return to power.
The left is so angry they're being proven wrong that many are literally on the verge of insanity as hate and evil consumes them fully. They cannot believe they've been wrong to accuse Bush of starting a war illegally. They can't conceive that the economy could be doing well without social programs and massive tax hikes. They can't believe what they can't conceive.

BIO's Biased Bigotry
Ottmann. the host of The Creative Conservative has been kicked off/banned from a liberal site of hypocrisy called Bring it On, after posting and exposing the little libs for spreading disinformation and lies against Bush, Rove, Cheney and the administration. Why? Well it seems BIO only wants a site where everyone agrees with their ignorant, backward liberalism that is effectually destroying the Democratic Party by trying to force a Marxist socialist agenda that goes against democracy and traditional American values.
Perhaps they were instructed to ban me by MoveOn.org or the DNC because all their whining was/is being exposed on their site and debunked with real facts backed by links, quotes and even some pictures. Those liberals claim to be for freedom of speech, but it is evident they are only for speech they agree with, and their brand of living that tolerates evil, gays, hatred, bigotry, lies etc. to push their socialist utopian agenda at all costs. They don't allow any dissent and ban together like the Taliban and other terrorist groups. Most libs at BIO from what I've read, have alot of hate for religion because it points out their immorality, so they bash it because it makes them feel guilty, just as was predicted in the Bible to their ignorance.
I've explained to them the problems they have in no uncertain terms, but they refuse to acknowledge the truth or the error of their ways. They insist on linked sources, which I've provided many times, but have yet to see theirs while they bash away uncontrollably. Learning is not what liberals are good at as their basically zero retention of recent history shows.
Using the media to spread liberal hatred and vitriol is their main objective for changing America, but instead it is bringing down the DNC and making those on the left more miserable, creating more losses for them. This is a fact they continually deny because they just feel it isn't true even in the face of mounting evidence. Clinton taught them denial works. But he failed to mention that reality trumps it everytime.
Today's liberals are the most vile, arrogant and irresponsible people this country has ever seen. Good thing that even democrat's are realizing the problem these liberal wacko's have become, and are taking certain steps to keep them marginalized. The folks at BIO are going the way of MoveOn.org, the NYTimes and Washipost into the gutter of hysterical accusations based on emotional misconceptions with little if any facts.
Cranky and co. can't take it because reality is not their friend, and thus whining is what he feels they was meant to do in order to change things. But of course the intention of BIO is having the exact opposite effect they wanted, as his site of little liberal groupies, who love to whine and bash Bush with lengthy dialog based on self-described "intellectual" rhetoric that makes them "look" and "feel" smarter than they are, but solves absolutely nothing. They're just spinning their wheels!
Well, I Brought It On and they couldn't take it! Therefore I win, they all lose and will continue to until they either wise up and face reality, or die trying to convince themselves they're right.
I'll be posting more about BIO here when I have the time. It's just too much fun watching libs squirm like little lemmings while denying facts and reality.

Funeral Politics End Dream
I'm always amazed by those on the left who never seem to learn from their past blunders.
Who could forget how the funeral of Minnesota's late democrat senator Paul Wellstone was turned into a political circus by democrat's and the liberal media, which helped the party lose his senate seat to republicans. Apparently, democrat's have.
Clinton at the time was laughing and cracking jokes while the camera's were rolling, sending a clear message of behavior unbecoming a president, and his political party that followed his lead.
Though it was billed as a memorial service, many irate viewers and Republican leaders said the gathering for U.S. Sen. Paul Wellstone and five others degenerated at times into a blatant political rally.
"What a complete, total, absolute sham," said Vin Weber, a former U.S. representative from Minnesota. "The DFL clearly intends to exploit Wellstone's memory totally, completely and shamelessly for political gain. To them, Wellstone's death, apparently, was just another campaign event."
It was during Kahn's speech that Gov. Jesse Ventura and First Lady Terry Ventura got up shaking their heads and walked out. Lott also walked out during the service.
The speech provoked scores of calls to GOP headquarters and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Norm Coleman's campaign, said Bill Walsh, the state party's deputy executive director.
"They overplayed their hand, and our phones are ringing off the hook," he said. Many callers were offering to contribute money, Walsh said. The cost to democrat's was severe then as Mondale lost by a wide margin to Coleman.
Now the same thing has been repeated at the latest funeral of Coretta Scott King, where the pulpit was abused to make derogatory remarks about the war on terror right in front of president Bush and the first lady who were paying their respects along with past presidents Clinton, Bush Sr. and Carter. And here is what President Bush said in his remarks.
It was disgusting to bring this up during a funeral that only served to create further division by those on the left as they sink to futher depths of desperation.
The Rev. Joseph Lowery, co-founder of Southern Christian Leadership Conference, derided President Bush during his short speech, ostensibly about the wife of Martin Luther King Jr.
"She extended Martin's message against poverty, racism and war. She deplored the terror inflicted by our smart bombs on missions way afar. We know now that there were no weapons of mass destruction over there," Lowery said.
The mostly black crowd applauded, then rose to its feet and cheered in a two-minute-long standing ovation.
A closed-circuit television in the mega-church outside Atlanta showed the president smiling uncomfortably.
"But Coretta knew, and we know," Lowery continued, "That there are weapons of misdirection right down here," he said, nodding his head toward the row of presidents past and present. "For war, billions more, but no more for the poor!" The crowd again cheered wildly.
Former President Jimmy Carter later swung at Bush as well, not once but twice. As he talked about the Kings, he said: "It was difficult for them then personally with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretaps."
What Mr. Carter failed to mention was that is was democrats John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert who approved of the wiretapping back then! No outcry was heard from anyone on the left!
It is amazing to witness such division could be spoken at the funeral of someone who tried bring people together.
The memories of these two civil rights leaders have suddenly, albeit not shockingly, been made a mockery of by the democrats, just as Cindy Sheehan has made a mockery of her son's sacrifice to the nation he loved, especially by joining the communist dictator in Venezuala.
I for one am disgusted and ashamed to see democrat's acting in such a dreadful manner, as they still claim to be for America.
Clearly the opposite is closer to the truth.

Calmly Determined President
In his sixth State of the Union address, president Bush took the high ground and left the democrat's crawling below.
"Congress did not act last year on my proposal to save Social Security."
To that the democrat's laughed, and American's saw that they do not care about the future of our future retirees. Democrat's haven't yet realized it, but Bush scored hugely on it for Republican's in the upcoming November elections.
Bush delivered an SOTU that was low-key and assured, with just the right tone for a to assure the American people — or at least the majority of Americans willing to consider his words with an open mind — that he knows what his responsibilities are and what he needs to do to see them through.
Bush has made tax cuts a priority again. Democrats sat on their hands when he brought it up, even with the proof of them working to benefit the economy and the American people.
It is clear that democrat's desire to raise taxes as high as possible to steal money from hard working citizens in order to create a socialist government that will redistribute that money amongst their constituents, and not to the poor as they falsely claim time after time.
Bush will cut stupid and wasteful social programs that were created by democrat's over decades to keep government above the people, doing whatever it wants unchecked. Have you ever seen government employees being fired for doing a bad job? It rarely ever happens. Incompetence in government is rewarded by those on the left who don't care because it's not their money to begin with. The money comes from the people, not the government!
Run Away Democrats
Bush is a man of courage who knows and understands what the stakes are in this war on terror, where democrat's have continuously shown their desire to run away like cowards.
Thank God for president George W. Bush at this time in history.
"In a time of testing, we cannot find security by abandoning our commitments and retreating within our borders. If we were to leave these vicious attackers alone, they would not leave us alone. They would simply move the battlefield to our own shores. There is no peace in retreat. And there is no honor in retreat. By allowing radical Islam to work its will -- by leaving an assaulted world to fend for itself -- we would signal to all that we no longer believe in our own ideals, or even in our own courage. But our enemies and our friends can be certain: The United States will not retreat from the world, and we will never surrender to evil....
Our country must also remain on the offensive against terrorism here at home. The enemy has not lost the desire or capability to attack us. Fortunately, this nation has superb professionals in law enforcement, intelligence, the military, and homeland security. These men and women are dedicating their lives, protecting us all, and they deserve our support and our thanks. They also deserve the same tools they already use to fight drug trafficking and organized crime -- so I ask you to reauthorize the Patriot Act.
It is said that prior to the attacks of September the 11th, our government failed to connect the dots of the conspiracy. We now know that two of the hijackers in the United States placed telephone calls to al Qaeda operatives overseas. But we did not know about their plans until it was too late. So to prevent another attack -- based on authority given to me by the Constitution and by statute -- I have authorized a terrorist surveillance program to aggressively pursue the international communications of suspected al Qaeda operatives and affiliates to and from America. Previous Presidents have used the same constitutional authority I have, and federal courts have approved the use of that authority. Appropriate members of Congress have been kept informed. The terrorist surveillance program has helped prevent terrorist attacks. It remains essential to the security of America. If there are people inside our country who are talking with al Qaeda, we want to know about it, because we will not sit back and wait to be hit again."
That simple, straight-forward message sends a clear signal to all American's and especially democrats, that Bush is in charge, doing everything he can to protect this nation from those who would attempt to harm us, including wacko-liberals who side with criminals and terrorists' against democracy.
