Romney Update. Interview by ABC

Republican Presidential contender Mitt Romney was interviewed over the weekend by ABC's Clinton insider George Stephanopoulos, who tried valiantly to trip up Mitt, especially on his religion where the interviewer either purposely misled Romney or proved to everyone that he has no understanding of the Bible at all, in questioning where Jesus will return. My guess is the latter.

Like most liberals, they have no clue about the Bible, as they prefer man-made dreams, ideas and theories to disprove it, falsely revising history to fit their image of what "should be" over what is.

The interview, Mitt Romney: The Complete Interview, included Mitt's wife Ann Romney, who was also to smart for Stephenopolis' dirt seeking questions. But by the end of the interview, I think George was ready to cast his vote for Mitt.

Romney Running Right

The long awaited announcement came on Tuesday February 13th, 2007 from former Governor of Massachusetts Mitt Romney, that he is now running for the office of president of the United States of America.

Romney is also a Republican coming from an ultra-blue state who got more done there in his single term than previous democrat administrations did in two terms, proving his leadership in getting things accomplished.

But what has he accomplished?

A businessman, Romney, 59, helped found a multibillion-dollar venture capital firm, Bain Capital, that invested in companies like Staples, the office-supply giant.

As governor of Massachusetts, Mr. Romney closed a $3 billion budget deficit without raising taxes. He also created and pushed through a comprehensive overhaul of the states health insurance system, with results coming over time.

Romney said in his announcement that you can view on MittTV,

"I do not believe Washington can be transformed from within by a lifelong politician," Romney said, "There have been too many deals, too many favors, too many entanglements - and too little real world experience managing, guiding, leading."

Mr. Romney is best known for his can-do attitude in the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City that saved the games from a financial scandal. Romney stepped in to take over when an uncovered scandal had threatened to implode the games, but they ended up a success with Romney at the helm leading its reorganization clean up. "Romney came in and made it all good," was the consensus of many who attended the games.

The question is, can he do the same thing leading the country?

On Iraq, Romney has given his support for President Bush's policy in the Iraq war, saying that failure in Iraq "could be devastating" for the United States and could mean a future with far more military involvement and far more loss of American life.
"Across the nation, there is debate about our future course in Iraq. Our desire to bring our troops home, safely and soon, is met with our recognition that if Iraq descends into all-out civil war, millions could die; that Iraq's Sunni region could become a base for Al Qaeda; that its Shia region could be seized by Iran; that Kurd tension could destabilize Turkey; and even that the broader Middle East could be drawn into conflict. The possible implications for America and for American interests from such developments could be devastating. It could mean a future with far more military involvement and far more loss of American life. For these reasons, I believe that so long as there is a reasonable prospect of success, our wisest course is to seek stability in Iraq, with additional troops endeavoring to secure the civilian population."

Romney is correct about the threat and the consequences. Nobody on the left even wants to acknowledge the war, much less win it, as they care more about money and politics than life itself.

Romney continued,
"So long as there is a reasonable prospect of success, our wisest course is to seek stability in Iraq, with additional troops to secure the civilian population."

Seeking to convince conservatives that he is one of us, after what critics call a few flip-flops, Romney emphasized values and principles considered the bedrock of the GOP.
"I believe that the family is the foundation of America - and that it needs to be protected and strengthened. I believe in the sanctity of human life."
See: MittTV.
Many on the left are scared of Romney and his pro-family views, preferring instead to continue the corruption of society with homosexual sin and abortion on demand. Democrat's don't think about consequences, they only want what feels good at any given time, which is all the time for them, and they will bash and trash anyone who goes against their corroding selfishness.
"I believe that people and their elected representatives should make our laws, not unelected judges," Romney continued. "I believe we are overtaxed and government is overfed. Washington is spending too much money."

Democrats believe the people work for the government and that taxes should never be limited, which is the exact opposite of the Constitution. Democrat's believe in group consensus, ie: socialism over individualism, and that the little people can't make their own decisions, so they must be taxed to death to keep them in their place so those in power can dictate their lives. This again is the exact opposite of the Constitution and freedom, as is all that today's democrats promise out both sides of their mouths. One only has to discern the words spoken by Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, John Edwards and Barack Hussein Obama to know they are more than confused.

Like Bush, Romney is a son seeking to succeed where his father failed. Romney became an official GOP presidential candidate flanked by his wife since 1969, Ann, their five sons and five daughters-in-law, and the Romneys' ten grandchildren - proving that yes, he is a family man.

Romney emphasized,
"I believe that homeland security begins with securing our borders," adding, "I believe that our best days are before us because I believe in America."
"America can't continue to lead the family of nations if we fail the families at home," he said, adding that values and morals are "under constant attack" and promoting families where a mother and a father are in each child's life."

Being a Mormon running for president does not disqualify Mr. Romney from winning. Bigots and anti-religious leftists' are already out smearing him as best they can with lies claiming that all Mormons are polygamists' and other such garbage that is as wrong as slavery.

Even some who claim to be for the GOP may be following the dems smear tactics in bashing Romney, as this article by Clintonian flipper Dick Morris attempts to do.

"It may be a racist refusal to vote for a Mormon or, more charitably, Romney’s flip-flop-flip from pro-life to pro-choice to pro-life, or it may have been his inconsistency on gay issues, but Mitt seems to be going the way of his father — out of contention."

Actually, Romney has always been pro-life, but clearly needed votes from pro-choicer's in the ultra-liberal state to become governor. But didn't Ronald Reagan do the same thing in California before becoming solidly pro-life and then president?

I believe there's a clue in there somewhere.

For this conservative blogger, it is way early to pick one candidate over another as the field has yet to narrow. But perhaps John McCain should bow out as his chances of winning against either former NY Mayor Rudy Giuliani or Mitt Romney are doubtful due to his his being a long-time Washington insider. He also seems too indecisive, while trying to please both sides on every issue. CFR?

According to Morris, ex-GOP speaker Newt Gingrich is already past McCain and he hasn't even announced.
"The ultimate winner of the Giuliani/McCain quarter-final will face the winner of the Gingrich/Romney match-up in the semi-finals."

Polls will go up and down all over the place according to the liberal media's wishes, as they always put the so called Democrat's far above any Republican's, especially conservatives no matter what polls might actually say. The MSM debates who they want to be up or down at the time, despite their rigged polls, and the consensus is what they script for the "news".

When it comes time, vote your own conservative conscience, not those of talking heads reading biased lines on a tele-prompter.
